In 1989 we could enjoy the regained freedom. We started to build new and better Poland. We believed in polish entrepreneurship, but we had to remember about those for whom changes were a difficult experience. I still remember very hard and complex talks with miners, steelworkers, railwaymen and employees of state-owned farms.

We started to the process of repairing the state and the economy. We encounter many problems: great inflation (585,8%), unemployment, changes in the pension system. We created a set of incentives for small businesses and the framework for social dialogue.

Many have doubted us. But quickly we began to catch up the distance separating us from the West. We initiated reforms of the local government to release the positive energy of the people and create conditions for the creation of civic organizations.

We are investing in the future. Introducing programming lesson in schools will provide us not only great programmers and game developers, but it will prepare citizens to participate fully in the digital world.
