Debate Poland-Ukraine: What partnership?

Mutual relations between Poland and Ukraine are experiencing the most difficult moments for 25 years. For the first time in a century, a sense of “strategic maras” has appeared in relations between our countries, which has been compounded by numerous bilateral problems.

We must work together. Leadership in the common is very important. We need to act in parallel. The term “parallel” in relations Poland Ukraine is very important. You need a wise orientation for the future.

It is important to see this in a broad perspective. We have a labor market, we have a great migration with Ukraine, we can not allow the vision of Ukrainians as a threat to Poland. It is better to insist strongly on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union than to remove it from it and support it in this way.

Warsaw and Kiev can not afford to be indifferent. Today Poland and Ukraine are equally as important as in the past 25 years. Convinced by this conviction, 19 experts from Poland and Ukraine, who have been dealing with the issue of mutual relations for many years, formed the Polish-Ukrainian Dialogue Group and attempted to redesign relations between the two nations.

During the debate, their text “Priority Partnership: A Common Vision of Polish-Ukrainian Relations” was presented.
